Yemi Alade and her record label Effyzie Music Group, hosted an exclusive album release party in Nairobi, Kenya in celebration of her recently released fourth studio album Woman Of Steel
The Kenya release party of Woman of Steel comes hot off the heels of successful launch parties in Lagos, London and Paris. The acclaimed album features a host of international stars like Rick Ross, Grammy-award winner Angélique Kidjo, Afrobeats icon Duncan Mighty and Nollywood star Funke Akindele. GIVE DEM music video directed by Clarence Peters— featuring a series of high energy choreographed dance scenes, is out now, as her official second East African release from the album.
A collection of fire and ice
From the word go, you can already feel that the album has a very groovy, sexy & strong vibe. From the beats to the message to the woman herself, you can tell that from each of the songs, Yemi really had a lot of fun writing and recording them.
From the songs we listened to, which was all of them, for a period of time, all had a distinct vibe to them. My personal favorites were Home, Shake, Yeba and Give Dem
With reggae, dancehall and salsa ish tunes, the songs including some produced by Krizbeatz all tell of a woman who knows what she wants. From money, to love to success, the songs all tell of an African woman, a woman of steel.
With a song for every mood, every season
Whether you fancy RnB, Reggae inspired tracks or club hits, Yemi made sure that she had a song for every mood on the album.
The thing that really makes Yemi one of the most successful African artists is her artistry and her calculated ambitious moves. Woman of Steel is an undeniably amazing album with relatable messages and beats and vibes to take you away.
