The City Hotel, Ole- Sereni, which opened in 2009 gets its name derived from the Masaai word “Place of Tranquility”
Boasting exquisite views of the Nairobi National Park, we had a chance to sample what makes the hotel such a crown jewel.
The Eagles Steak House is a fine dining Steak house located at Ole-Sereni’s 4th Floor overlooking the Park.
The Steakhouse served us signature steaks, meat cuts and also serves fresh seafood cuisines.
Eagles Steakhouse was originally opened only for dinner however, according to the hotel, due to high demand from clients, they decided to open for lunch.
The express lunch caters for the corporate market who would also like to have a nice quick affordable gourmet meal while enjoying scenic views of the Nairobi national park. It consists of a 2 course set menu for 2000ksh and a 3 course set menu for 2500ksh. Vegetarian options are also available.
From Fillets, Sirloins, Rib Eyes, T-Bones, Ostrich, Ribs, the chef’s source from the best ranches in the country, the beef is then aged at the butcher’s then again at the hotel so that it develops flavour and texture. From there it is char-grilled and slowly butter roasted to finish.
The meats were deliciously juicy & almost too much for us to finish! Yum!
