Turning Tables is a non-profit organization working to empower socially, economically and politically marginalized youth in different global contexts by providing them with the means to express their hopes, dreams and challenges, through the Arts of music and film production.
They are rooted in empowering youth, by youth, for youth in order to amplify their voices on issues that concern them. Since 2009, Turning Tables has established independently operational country offices working with youth in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Lebanon, Jordan, Myanmar and Kenya.
In Kenya, they have launched their new music lab along Ngong road opposite Adams Arcade. Turning Tables Kenya mainly focuses on Music Production, Film and Entertainment in general.
The Country Director Carrolyne Njeri describes it as an artistic incubator which helps mentor upcoming Artist and see them develop their skills in preparation for a big stage. The Hub has also worked with some of our A list talents like Juliani, Oksyde, Mc Sharon, Wyre and many others together with a pool of greatly talented upcoming artists.
The Organization works in two dimensions both profit and non profit. The profit dimensions works at very relatable angles where they take in artists with relevant and viable project and develop the project into something that will give back to the artist. On the commercial end of it, they charge artists differently at very affordable prices hence catering for upcoming artists who may not afford studio sessions.
Turning Tables is also big on workshops where they have qualified producers, photographers, film makers and artist managers who facilitate the workshops and train artists on the Do and Dont’s of a recording artist as well as Film making and educating arstist on the business side of things.
