When it comes to Asian delicacies, the only other restaurant that would come close to giving us such a menu is Teriyaki next to International House at Mama Ngina Street. Most restaurants in the CBD are either fast foods or Somali-owned restaurants (which we have no complaints against) but sometimes, you just want something different.

Thus enters DJC Kitchen.

DJC Kitchen Offering Asian Delicacies, Launches In The CBD, Opposite HFC Bank At GPODJC Kitchen is a new restaurant in the Nairobi CBD which offers Asian delicacies as well as a variety of mouth-watering dishes. As the founder Zhao Jian explains, it is a concept based on Asian fast foods so basically DJC is a mix between Asian fast foods and the casual Kenyan diet; which in essence means there’s something for everyone at the restaurant.

The lighting is also exquisite during evening hours and the large windows give it an even more natural light during the day

A quick look at the menu shows: Chicken rolls, chicken Yakitori skewers, slow cooked beef ribs, Asian burgers to a build your own bowl section. The build your own bowl consists of proteins [chicken, beef, fish, shrimp] , greens where you can choose up to 5 of these [spring onions, onions, baby corn, pineapple, bean sprout, French beans, pepper coloured, Daikon, broccoli, shitake, carrot, snow peas, Chinese cabbage, oyster mushroom], Sauce [teriyaki, sweet and sour, Asian BBQ, yellow curry] & various toppings.

They also serve alcoholic drinks including cocktails and local beers at affordable prices and they also have an open space where you can see how your food is made.
