Amarula Wins ‘Brand of the Year’ at the World Branding Awards

Amarula has been presented the ‘Brand of the Year’ award at the World Branding Awards held recently at the Kensington Palace, London. Amarula becomes the only liquor available in Kenya to be accorded this global recognition.

The World Branding Awards is the premier awards of the World Branding Forum (WBF), and sees some of the world’s best brands recognized for their work and achievements in branding, design, marketing, advertising, public relations and communications disciplines worldwide.

To scoop the prestigious award, they beat over 2800 nominated brands a  uniquely judged through a meticulous process that includes three streams; Brand Valuation, Consumer Market Research and Public Online Voting.

Amarula was the only brand in the Alcoholic Spirits Cream Liqueur category from Kenya to be selected for the 2017 Awards. It is testament to the brand’s worthy efforts and an indicator of exceptional quality and branding.

Amarula now proudly joins the ranks of other previous South African winners including DStv, MTN, Nando’s, and Standard Bank, and iconic global brands like Apple, Coca-Cola, Louis Vuitton and Mercedes-Benz.

In 2016 the Amarula Trust formed a partnership with global conservation organization Wildlife Direct and its dynamic Kenyan-born CEO, Dr. Paula Kahumbu, with the shared vision to drive conservation of the African elephant through education in the community. To raise awareness worldwide on the dangers facing the African elephant, Amarula launched limited edition bottles without the iconic African Elephant to put an end to the ivory trade. The campaign was dubbed #DontLetThemDisappear
